# Divided in Politics, United in Love

#### My parents never agreed on politics, but they always managed to love each other.

I love my parents for a lot of reasons. In this season, there's one aspect of their relationship that I am especially thankful for: **They voted very differently, but they shared the same heart of love toward each other.**

They showed me how to seek to understand, agree to disagree, and love one another anyway. I am very thankful for that in these politically polarizing times. They had something that is increasingly rare these days - **the ability the disagree politically but love each other unconditionally.**

That is something WE should relearn as a society and as the church.
